Assistant Controller – Hollywood, FL
Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, the Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing the General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions of the organization including Credit, A/R, and Billing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Financial Statements according to GAAP
Review and/or complete monthly GL Account Reconciliations
Review weekly management reports
Coordinate financial audits
Ad hoc operational analysis and reporting
Financial Projection Modeling
Billing, Credit and Collections
Determine credit for new accounts
Ensure all customers are properly billed and invoices delivered
Manage Collections and AR aging
Manage Customer inquiries, disputes, billing issues etc.
Coordinate with Operations staff on Client issues
Manage Collections and Legal Issues
Review and complete Vendor Management System Reconciliations
Monitor Front office and Back office integrations
Improve accounting systems processes
Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place
Credit and Collection Manager
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, required.

Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
CPA certification required
3 – 5 years of experience
Combined Public Accounting and Private Industry accounting a plus
Prior management experience required.
